Memories of the Month!

SO I have been pretty busy....and thus the BLOG has suffered! SoRrY...But we have had a great month!
Here are a few of the things that we have done and that I have had a camera to capture the moments. Thank goodness I have a sister-in-law who lets me use her camera when I forget mine! BUT, those pictures are not yet on my computer.... oh well these are cute!

We spent more than one Sunday or sometimes other nights hanging out at Grandpa Layne's! Hailee loves going to Bompa's mostly because she is absolutely spoiled there. They always have the best food, and she gets entertained by Bompa and others the ENTIRE time she is there! We like that too, because we get to catch a little nap!

Grandma Lorelei painted a few pumpkins and Hailee thought they were great. Every once and a while she would go over and check on them. Giving them lots of hugs and kisses! So Nice!
She gets pretty busy at Grandpa's and we are constantly trying to get her to slow down and take her nap. It gets pretty difficult. She cuddles up with everyone but mom. Mostly because she knows mom will make her stay there until she does go to sleep. Everyone else, they cave and play with her....it's a tough life being mom!

After we got home from our Twin Falls excapade. (REMEMBER:Trudy's Baby Blessing) We had a ton of new snow and it was only 6 or something. Even though it was dark, we had to take Hailee out to play. It wasn't cold and she missed all the snow before because of her little cough. She loved it and it was great to see her in the snow. She has already figured out to eat it??? How does that happen?

We also came home to our (Curt's) early Christmas present. He got a snowmobile!! YEAH~~ we are pretty excited. We have borrowed my dad's the last few years, and it has been since high school since he had his own. He deserved it, and I can't wait for him to go on a few rides with some friends. He didn't want this picture on the blog, but this is an important milestone for us, so on it goes!

We had fun playing in the snow. You can see Hailee's tongue sticking out. THAT is because she is licking off the snow! I have no idea where she got that idea. She even started eating the stuff that comes in the house with you! YUCK!!!!

The rest of the month went fast as we were waiting for Thanksgiving so we could see all of the family. We love getting together, and it seems the time we have goes so darn quick!
Hailee got to ride on the 4 wheeler with Aunt Cheri, which took 2 turns for her to finally fall asleep!

Hailee loves her Uncle Mike. It is really neat to see her bond with him. I think it great! She loved jumping all around him and talking like Donald Duck with him.

We got to love up on Baby Trudy a ton over Thanksgiving. She is so precious and such a good baby!!! Hailee was so gentle and loving with her. She loved to tickle her little feet and give her soft kisses on the head.

Hailee is really funny because if she gets a little nervous or something she will call out, "Mom" "DAD" and sometimes she adds on various other people. "MAMA" is popular. "BOMPA" is almost always added on. Sometimes it is "Cathy," lately "JJ" is a favorite. It is really funny because she just wants you to pay attention to her. If any of the above people aren't talking to her she will declare that they are at "work." Everyone is at "work" if you ask Hailee. We are working on "home" and "there." She cracks us up.
My favorite Hailee moment is still her "kay." If she is in trouble for something, or if I just tell her to be careful; her response is always a very humble "kay." I LOVE IT!!!! In fact if I am mad at her and she does that I have a terrible time being serious because I really want to pick her up and squeeze her tight!

This is also a continued favorite. The piano. She loves the darn thing and will sight there and actually plays it pretty. She turns the pages on the music and sits back down to play again. We love it. Other musical talents are developing as well. During church she will hold the book and sing along with the congregation! WE LOVE THAT. She has been trying to sing like her favorite princess, Ariel. It is adorable to say the least!!!
We had a Turkey Noodle Dinner the night after Thanksgiving with my Mom, Jack, Christine, and Scott. Another funny Hailee moment. She is obsessed with the male population. She would not be friendly with Christine almost the whole afternoon. As soon as Scott came she started saying his name and talking to him and everything. It is like this with most men she meets. I am not worried, I think it is cute!

I have already mentioned Hailee's group hug fascination. This is her with my wonderful mom and amazing bro. They are so fun!
Hailee spent the whole night on Friday chasing her Uncle JJ (AJ) around. She had a lot of fun and from the looks of it so did he. He reminded me and I am sure her a lot of her Bompa! This picture is of the two of them dancing away! She is learning all sorts of new moves!

Finally, my Mom, Cheri, and I faced the crowds on Black Friday. We left at 5:00 AM and went crazy shopping down in Idaho Falls. We all agreed it was not nearly as scary as people make it out to seem. We were in line at Kohls for at least 30 minutes!!! That was the worst part, I promise! I got tons of stuff, mostly great deals! I found Hailee a Christmas dress, which was completely too difficult. I swear the dresses for babies this year are pretty stinky!!!!!!! I don't want to give the dress all away yet, so tada! Here is the sneak peak!!
We had a wonderful month! We are all so grateful for so many wonderful family members around us. We are grateful for the snow so we can play in it and make memories. We are happy being together and living life!! We are excited for all of the memories December will bring!! Hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as ours!

TOP FIVE

The above is a preview of our Christmas Card this year.

I can't believe Curt and I have been married for 5 YEARS!!!
We totally rock and I know that there is no one more perfect for me than Curt. He loves me and cares about me more than anything, which is recipricated of course!

As you will learn in a later post, we spent our Anniversary in Twin Falls. At dinner we shared our top FIVE memories from our marriage. We came up with a lot more so here is our list!

10. Moving furniture into our dinky small apt. in Pocatello. An apartment that was tiny and FREEZING cold, such humble beginnings!

9. Going hunting and chasing some deer around our farm. I definately had fun, until I found out that I had to help lift the dead thing into the truck. Dead weight...heavy.

8. Moving back and forth to Cathy's house the last winter when our furnace broke!

7. Meeting up for lunch down in Rexburg in between classes.

6. Buying our first Truck together. WE MISS OUR TUNDRA!!!!!! This is still a vehicle we think about and plan to get again soon.

5. Staying up late watching westerns. We have over 50 westerns, most of which we both love! Curt knows that I have a secret crush on Gus from Lonesome Dove!

6. Going to Washington to visit Cheri. Curt was so sick and we were cramped in the car. He went deep sea fishing even though he was sick as a dog! We still have some fish left, mostly because I am not a fish eater.

5. Riding Horses with my sister, Nathan, and AJ on the farm. This actually happened about a year before we were married, but it was on our farm and with my siblings. It is a special memory for both of us.

4. Swimming in the ditch. The water was very cold, but we had a lot of fun! I always knew country kids had it better!

3. Our engagement in the Boise Rose Gardens. We picked out my ring, but I told him I wanted him to suprise me. He didn't know how, and I am a control freak. I planned this whole scheme for him to suprise me in front of my family on the 4th of July. Him, being the amazing guy he is, altered the plan and organized my family to get me to the Rose Gardens, all dressed up and ready. He suprised me and continues to do so. I always want to be in control and he is good at letting me assume control, while he calmly holds things in place. I couldn't do it without him and I would never want to!

2. Having Hailee and learning how to be responsible for a child. We are so lucky to have her and she is adding so much joy to our lives. She makes everything worth it!

1. Being sealed together forever! We were so fortunate to go through the temple one year after our wedding. I went through for my sister and then we were sealed. We love the gospel, and are thankful for the promises we made to eachother and to GOD in the temple. We are very lucky to have eachother and to know the other has a sure testimony.

I love you babe! Thanks for 5 years, can't wait for the rest of eternity!

Tuesday, November 10

A long day.

My facebook page the past few days has been loaded up with my sickness woes. I am not feeling sick really, but I was. Now it is stuck in the throat and chest. I have practically no voice and fall into coughing fits every five minutes!!!

This has been real torture to me because I NEVER GET SICK! I get a little sick, but never for more than a day or two. I certainly have never lost my stinking voice!

This is also torture because I have been pushing my kids at school to get a bunch done in time for parent teacher conference. I have difficulties keeping them in-line and now I worry that I won't even be able to communicate some really important information with their parents the next few nights. UGH!

I am anxious for some quality home time. I can't wait for the holidays for no other reason than to sleep-in and play with my amazing husband and baby! I miss them a lot these days. To help quench my thirst for the holidays I have been busy online previewing for the holiday shopping. I love buying Hailee beautiful dresses and am anxious to get her Christmas dress. I will post my favorites soon!

Anyway wish me luck for the rest of the week. Also if you have any ideas on how I can get my voice back, I'd be much appreciative!

Sunday, November 1

A Reunion is still a reunion!

Curt's Grandmother Lillian passed away last Friday and her funeral was Tuesday. Even with the poor circumstance it was still neat for him to get together with his cousins. He had fun catching up and Hailee had fun running around with the kids.
Curt's cousin Chelsey has a little girl about the same age as Addison and so these three girls are all very close in age. We took pictures of them when they were just tiny so it was neat to see them a little older and extremely more busy!

We went down the night before and stayed in a Motel so we could spend some time together. It was really fun to just hang out and go swimming with everyone! The kids esspecially had a great time and we should definatly try to do it more often. Nic came down with Curt that night and spent the time with the family while his mom and dad were busy getting little Trudy here!

This is Curt with Hailee at the cemetary. It was pretty cold and there were geese that had left markings all over the ground so we didn't let her down very much!

It was pretty neat that Cheri was able to come over for the funeral. Hailee had a lot of fun with Aunt Cheri and kept asking about Uncle Mike. It was actually the first thing she said to Cheri, "Mike?" I think both Cheri and Mike liked that!

This last shot is of the girls at the pizza place. They were pretty mobile and I think they are going to get along really well, at least they seemed to this time!

Trick or Treat on HALLOWEEN!

Hailee loved Halloween! I didn't think she would really understand, and I'm certain she didn't all the way, but she did have fun! She ran into lots of great friends and loved seeing all the costumes. She also figured out the whole "candy" part of the night and wouldn't slow down. She didn't get to eat a lot of the candy, but just holding it was pretty exciting!!! She was a trooper and walked up and down Main Street for the Trunk-r-Treat and then walked up and down a few blocks to get to various houses! She is a pretty darn tough 1 year-old!

The above pictures are of a Chicken, modern-day Princess, and a Cabela's Model. I'll let you put the figures to the faces! I am sure it will be pretty tough!

The Little Chicken ran into several friends throughout the night!

Leah the Lion

Berrik the Lawn Nome

Addison the Teddy Bear, Porter the Cowboy, and Logan the Football Player!

Many more friends, and pictures.....

After such a fun night Hailee took off her costume and took a pitstop at Grandpa's. He had her favorite snack and together they ate away greenbeans in the middle of the kitchen!

A great alternative to candy.

We're off to see Aunt Christina!!!!

The most wonderful Aunt in Twin Falls!

Hailee and I went to visit Curt in Twin Falls one weekend instead of waiting for him to come home for a few hours! We stayed with Christina and her family. Hailee loved every second of being at Aunt Christina's mostly because Nic was there to entertain her. She was as big as a 7 year old that weekend!

This is Hailee getting her first juice box and she loved it by the way! In the back you can see Aunt Christina, who by the way had her super cute girly only a couple days later!!!

Hailee and Nic played the blanket game, which Hailee has already mastered thanks to Grandpa Layne. I barely got the picture and you can barely see Nic's eyes in there!

Hailee helped Nic play his Wii game and jumped and jived as fast as Nic did! He is pretty good at that game!

Hailee and Nic out on the tramp in the freezing cold wind. Nic loves Santa and dressed up in his outfit and brought a bunch of toys out for Hailee. It was great!

Funny story:
After Nic brought out the toys he wanted to go outside and play. Hailee had been running around inside in just her onsie and I was busy chatting. After a couple minutes of not hearing her I looked outside to see her at the top of the swingset. Nic was up there in his Santa suit getting his snow-sled ready to go down the slide. He was going to give Hailee (in her little white onsie) a ride on his "sleigh"! AHHHHH yeah I ran out there and grabbed her. We got dressed really quick and ran back out to jump on the tramp with Santa!
Just so you know- she didn't get sick or hurt at all, just a funny little moment!

PARTY TIME!

Hailee and I decided to host a Halloween Party for as many as would come! It turned out great and we had tons of friends come! We made a few crafts, ate some yummy treats, and tore apart a pinata (literally, the dang thing wouldn't break open so I had to tear it apart!).
