June 22-Today!

Hailee and I took a day and dressed up to match, I only took her picture, but I looked pretty similar. Minus the pigtails, squort, and super cuteness! We went shopping a bit and had a quick backyard picnic with Des and the cousins. It was a fun day and I am so glad to be able to hang out with such a QT!

Cathy, Curt, and I went and fixed fence over on Conant Creek and this was our view. My camera doesn't give it an ounce of justice because it was beautiful. Everything was very thick and green. It was even humid. I totaly felt like I was in the Amazon bushwhacking my way through the jungle. It was a pretty steep side and the ride up the canyon was one to remember. I couldn't stop laughing almost the whole way back up, but if I told you the story I wouldn't live another day.

Hailee helped Grandpa and Grandma push posts with the buldozer and never wanted off. She doesn't let Grandpa get much done without her when a ride is involved.

We helped Aunt Cathy mow the lawn, and holy cow it was long from all the rain. There really wasn't one day to mow while we were gone so we did quite the whacking. Hailee liked to pretend to push the mower around, but really she was more of a moral support in the deal. She rode around on Cathy's lap on the riding mower until she would get bored and want to see the horses. Crazy girl doesn't know how good she's got it!

We got a new kitty on Monday from Aunt Cathy and so far have not named it. He is a very nice little kitty and lets Hailee get pretty rough with him. I worry for his life sometimes, but so far it is working out really well. We have been needing a good little cat around here. We used to have a few, but over the last couple years they have died off. We have a couple left, but lately our dogs have forgotten how to behave and are killing them. This is something we are correcting, but for now our kitty will stay inside and go outside sometimes. This way the dogs get more comfortable with it around.

Hailee and I took a mom and tot swim class. We had a TON of fun and can't wait to go use our new SKILLS. Actually Hailee was probably a bit young for the class, but we had a lot of fun in the pool and I am really glad we took it. The biggest thing we learned was how to slide, flop, or a "1 year old version of jump" into the pool. She loves it! I can't wait to take her swimming again just to jump in the pool. And folks much more happened and a lot of our plans got canceled due to our "sick" days, but this is the wrap. Can't wait for many more weeks of fun to come!!!

What the FLU!

So yes it is 2:30 A.M.
Yes we have been awake.
Tuesday Curt was SOOOOO Sick and it was terrible, I had thought Hailee and I had gotten away without getting sick. WRONG!
Last night it was teeth all night and she cut one on the bottom and has a top one popping out. Very sad and painful for a little girl's mouth.
Tonight on the way home from swimming, Hailee showed the first flu signs. ALL over her carseat, good thing it is easily cleaned. She has been throwing up ever since. She dry heaves every time she moves but nothing come out and she cries terribly.
I just put her in bed with her dad because I too now have the flu. I HATE THROWING UP!!!!!
My stomach is twisting and if I try to walk around I have to run to the bathroom speady style.
So much for enjoying our summer. So far it has been raining and we have all had the flu. Even worse is that sanitizing and clean up await me in the morning. Wonderful!

Oreos=Yummy=Fun=Messy

She is showing me the goods. Yes that is a whole Oreo, she thought it was pretty funny.

Love my baby blue even when she is covered in gooey messy chocolate cookies!

Mommies!

So I really want to take advantage of my time off this summer and would like to schedule in some fun activities. I am thinking atleast once a week Hailee and I should gather together our friends and do something fun to enjoy the weather (hopefully nice from now on!). These things can be in Ashton, or not, but I need friends. Anyone interested in joining up to get our kids out to play I would really appreciate the company. I could use some help with some ideas! Thanks....

VACATION ALL I REALLY WANTED....

Hailee and I took off to California. We went with my mom, Jack, and my Grandma. Curt needed to stay and work, fix fence, you know all the farm boy stuff. It was a pretty good little get-a-way. We spent a lot of time with my Aunt Sharon, Uncle Donald, and Jaquelynn. We went to the beach, San Francisco, the Jelly Belly Factory, and Boomtown by Reno. We ate too much, saw too little, and can't wait to plan the next trip. We missed Curt A LOT, and were glad to be home. Thanks for a great vacation everyone!!

Check out the next few posts to see what Hailee and I did!!

Yatch Club Hear we come!

My Aunt Sharon is a member of the Napa Yatch Club and the Napa Valley Yatch Club. We had a great ride on their boat and met a lot of really neat people. They have a pretty neat group of friends.

Yummy Cookin'

My Uncle Donald is a pretty darn great cook and he made us several tastey meals. He, my Aunt Sharon and their daughter Jaquelynn made us feel very welcome and comfortable! Thanks for such an awesome California Vacation.

The Beach...and my little monster!!

THE GOOD.

Our day day at the beach had a lot of great moments. We had warm weather, a shovel and bucket, a perfect breeze for our kite, and wonderful company. REally relaxing and fun to see Hailee enjoy the sand. She is upset for a minute in this picture because she wants to go back to her playing.

The Bad
Hailee was such a great kid the whole trip, but often her nap times were interrupted with activities and so she would be shortened or delayed in the nap area. She did great until she got told no or had to do something she thought was less interesting. Then she would blow. She threw the best tantrum at the beach. She had only been sleeping for about 30 minutes when we got to the beach and she woke up. She was having a lot of fun playing. I thought I would show her the water, which she thought was amazing. She didn't understand why it kept flowing away and that made her mad because she thought I was taking her out of the water. Well she got mad enough that I decided she was done with the water. This made her even more mad and she made quite the scene. After I washed her off in the sink in the bathrooms, gave her a bottle, and then within minutes she was out for count.

The Rainforest Cafe!!! MMMMMM>>>>>

Sorry it is granny but this is actually better than I thought I would get. It is pretty dark in the eating area, but totally AWESOME!!! You can see Hailee completely amazed at everything !!! She sat in front of a pretty crazy monkey and she loved watching him shake the bushes.

Hailee and I with Monkey Man!!

My Aunt Sharon, Jaquelynn, and Uncle Donald.

Basically this is the most amazing restraunt for kids, and for people like me. It is a little expensive, but the portions are HUGE so sharing is totally a must. Also the environment is really impressive. There is a thunderstorm every 15 minutes where the place really gets dark and the animals freak out. You can see shooting stars in the sky and their are aquariums all around. Google it for more information and locations.

San Francisco Jelly Bellies and More...

On the Fairy

This is a mounted table that Hailee kept trying to pick up. She was such an drama queen and a showoff everywhere we went. She was grunting and squating, but it never budged.

Grandma and Jaquelynn on the the Fairy. Hailee and I up above on the Fairy.

In San Francisco

We spent one day in San Francisco and it was a blast! Hailee was sure tuckered out. We took a fairy over and she wouldn't sleep at all but ran around the boat saying hi to everyone and trying to take the boat apart!.

Hailee and I on Pier 39... a very cool local!

At the Jelly Belly Factory

We went to the Jelly Belly Factory in Napa and had a blast! They really know how to sell their candy!! While we were there we at lunch and they made these fun smiley fries. Hailee liked them a lot and she would smile at them and say hi, then she would chomp off their eyes or something. It was pretty funny.

BOOMTOWM

Taking turns going round and round!

Hailee rode the carousel in Boomtown a few times and loved every second. The carousel was 100 years old this year and so it was FREE!!! Lucky us.....She loves horses and would blow her lips the whole time!

Hailee and Grandma ready to load up and head home home. They were great travel buddies!!!!! I just hope my Grandma thought so??????
