Hailee's new throne!

No not potty training YET! But Hailee did get her first big girl carseat! It has been quite the process finding the right chair. I wanted one to match our interior of the car. I figure we will be using the seat again and so we should get a versitille, unisex, safe brand.

We looked EVERYWHERE! Every store I went to had maybe one that I liked. Of course the one that I thought would work was always sold out, out of stock, or discontinued. I went to my online shopping after about a month of looking. I read all the reviews and safety reports and decided on the The First Years - True Fit Convertible Car Seat, Casino. The True Fits were the highest safety rated and so I just found the colors I liked.

It finally arrived and Hailee and I love it. It is super comfy and EXTREMELY easy to adjust and set up. I cannot believe how much more simple it is in comparison to her first seat. I just push a button to adjust pretty much anything. It is also much more secure in my car, which is a plus right? Finally Hailee lOvEs looking forward. She can see me now and she sits up high enough to look out. I loved watching her through the mirror as she whipped her head around at the sights!

All in all- Great carseat, pretty descent price, and much happier car rides!

Mommy's little helper???

So Hailee loves when I am folding clothes. She hates when I do laundry because she doesn't understand all the running around. I was able to get a bunch of laundry done while my sister-in-laws Cathy and Christina along with Nic played with Hailee outside. She had a blast and I got it all finished except putting the socks away. Well before I knew it she had the folded socks scattered around her playzone (our basement).

This is Hailee with my dishtowel. Like other people I hang the towel on the oven handle. Well Hailee ALWAYS grabs it down and drags it around the kitchen and the whole upstairs. She rubs the cabinets, floor, chairs, walls, and her toys. I know she just wants to help so darn bad, but I have learned to keep my towels up on the counter and just give her one to play with.

Pretty Girly

The past couple Sundays I have been dressing Hailee up and having ALOT of fun

playing with her hair. She has the most wonderful hair ever! I am hoping that her curls will stick around. They are perfect because they will curl up when I scrunch and wet them down. When her hair dries it is pretty straight. Her hair reminds me of my sisters. Not overwhelmingly curly, but enough to take advantage of when the time comes!

My little girl is going to be 1 next Sunday and I am completely amazed at how big and mature she is getting. I see her understand what I tell her. She is a little angel all the time, but like her mom she can push it a little too much. Can't wait to see what her life will bring!

Fairy Princess Crown

I have been looking for fun, creative, and cute crown templates I could use to make crowns for Hailee's birthday. I found this paper plate design and tested it out. They are SUPER cute and I am way excited to make them. I am thinking of putting greenery and bugs on the boys' crowns. I am sure you can all figure out the design on your own, but if you need help let me know!

Sorry if the "on-the-head" look is a bit hard to take in... my model is not very cooperative!
