Hailee has changed by leaps and bounds since Carter arrived. She is very helpful, smart, opinionated, creative, loving, talented, and funny. Her personality shines for miles. I know I am her mom and thus, I am biased. Honestly though, I have a hard time telling people she is two because she acts like she is much older.
Hailee has more energy than the rest of us. She wears us all out with her games, dancing, and silly stories. This is a picture of Hailee with my dad. He was trying to get her to go to bed, but she put him to sleep instead as usual. I love how she is totally scrunching his head.
Here is another ballet picture of Hailee. She was dancing for her brother, who was in the swing actually watching her. He watches her alot. Notice the lack of ballet shoes, so did Hailee. Those are on the way.
1. The other day she got in trouble, and she talked back. She will say "No, you pick up the toys!" Well I have been putting her in time out for this behavior. So, in response I reminded her, "Hailee, you don't talk to Mom that way. You will go to time out." She responded, "You don't talk that way Mom!" I say in my stern mom voice, "HAILEE." She replies in her stern Hailee voice, "BRITNEY." I took her to time out and then laughed like crazy. It is hard to explain being amazed by her and upset at the same time. I really don't want her to be the naughty kid and it is hard figuring out how to teach her that.
I know I've said this before, but Hailee LOVES other kids. She remembers them and asks to play with different kids all the time. Her cousins Nic and Trudy are her favorites. She attaches to people all the time. She will talk to everyone in Walmart. She always asks about birthdays and invites them to her party on May 3rd.
Hailee is getting into make-believe big time. She is busy being a mommy, nurse, teacher, and waitress. At every meal she asks us about our day at work and school, even if there was none that day. She takes our orders for meals on a little tablet. Not always, but sometimes she tells you what to order. It is either chicken nuggets or hot dogs.
Her babies tend to get sick a lot. We have to take them to the doctor and give them medicine.
She takes what she sees and uses it to help her pretend. The other day she needed to pick up a game. She asked if we could call Agent Oso to help. He is a panda that helps kids on this TV show.
She loves Toy Story. She likes to pretend her toys are those off the movie. She lines them up for Woody to talk to. She pretends to give them away to a little girl.
I am really glad I was chosen to be Hailee's mommy. She is a great girl!
