WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I found my picture in the little purple dress off of my mom's blog. I always hated this picture because I felt like it made me look like the 100 lb baby. Lately, I have been thinking it is cute. Our little sweetie is definately cute in her little yellow dress though. Do we look alike? Let me know??????

A tough week!!!!

I am going to be teaching this fall and am determined to get Hailee on a bottle by August. I don't know why she suddenly stopped taking a bottle, but it is quite the challange. I have tried everything it seems, but nothing is working. Any ideas or suggestions would be wonderful!!!

An equal challange is my husband. He was riding his horse in the middle of this canyon, along the creek, when the horse got into some wire. Needless to say the horse didn't like the wire. Curt didn't bail quick enough and went down into the water. The horse landed on him and really tore up his leg. I am thankful that he wasn't hurt worse than he is. He didn't get too caught up in the wire and the water kept the horse from breaking his leg. I am truly grateful that he was protected and that his dad was there to help him out of the water.

As mothers and wives out there I am sure many of you understand the difficulty of having your husband home sick or injured. I love having Curt home, but he can't just sit still and heal. He suffers from Indoor ADD. It is also difficult helping him, taking care of Hailee, and getting all of my stuff done. In the end it is all worth it and I am very blessed to have such wonderful callings , as a wife and mother. It is hard to really remember what you have until things challange their very existence.

Future Friends Forever!!

Randomly Curt and I decided to have a little get to together on Sunday. We invited a bunch of friends and ate dutch oven chicken and potatoes- which were delicious thanks to my sweetie!

There were 4 couples and 4 new babes (Daxton and Drake too). It is fun to know that we will be raising these cuties together. Hopefully we can keep getting together so they can be friends.

Brittany and Mitch's girl, Harley is the oldest of the babes at like 9 months.

Ben and Heather's little guy, Berick is about 5 months.

Chase and Heather's sweetie, Kayley is 2 months just like Hailee.

It is too bad Jenny and Jake couldn't come with Micah and Asher. Asher would have been baby 5 at 8 months I think?

It was crazy to see how different the babies are. We wanted to get a picture of them all together and kept forgetting. Everyone ended up leaving except Ben and Heather so we snapped a picture. Hailee didn't want to be nice anymore, but it turned out cute.

Parade Control!

We thought everyone would like to see who got stuck maintaining proper order during the parade. We assure you she was thoroughly exstatic to help out. We don't understand why she tried so hard to stay on the opposite side of the street and behind this horse the wholetime- any ideas???????

Celebrating America!

Our 4th of July Celebration was pretty much the basic Hoo-ha!
We woke up early and had breakfast then rushed to get ready for the parade.Hailee had a couple of suitable outfits, but this was light and airy (perfect for the hot and humid day!)

She was actually pretty happy the whole day. She didn't like the fire engine's because of the loud noises they made. She slept a lot during the parade and got pretty hot. Curt and I decided to go to my dad's house prior to attending the park so we could cool down for a minute. This was good because I could feed Hailee and get her changed; however, our short little detour ended up lasting longer than we had hoped. While we were at my dad's our guests at the Inn called to tell us they were too scared of our dogs to leave the house. Curt had to run out to the house and hold the dogs so they could leave. It was pretty funny and annoying all at the same time.
He got back soon enough and we headed to the park to enjoy the regular feastivities. I was impressed by all of the activities the kids could participate in.
After the park we went to visit Chase and Heather. They were up for the holidays and a big family reunion. Their little girl is just over a week older than Hailee. She is a cute, little red-head. I mean little too. She is almost 2 pounds lighter than Hailee. She had been sleeping, but I was able to hold her when she woke up. I don't think she was feeling too well because she threw up all over me. It was pretty funny and shocking. Hailee doesn't have too much of a problem keeping her food down. Chase and Heather felt bad, but I thought it was funny.
The rest of the day went pretty good. We rented some movies, which Hailee and I slept through. We had a "sorta" barbeque with my Mom, Jack, Roy, and Kathy. We invited Curt's sister Cathy, but she is tempermental when it comes to eating with other people!!! We love you Cathy!!!
Thanks to some advice from Jan we were able to keep the noise of the fireworks to a minimum using cottonballs. This was a great trick and one to be used again in the future often. Speaking of fireworks, the town did an amazing job this year!
Hope everyone had a great 4th! We sure did spending it with our friends and family!

Summer Sunshine!

Sunday was a great day of relaxing and visiting. Curt and I actually made it to church early for the first time since Hailee arrived. We are really working on this and hopefully we have changed our bad behavior and are getting better at our time!

Hailee was finally big enough for this cute dress Kathy made for her. I love this dress and it was adorable on her.

We are definately going to wear it again soon!!!

This is a funny picture because it reminds me of myself. My mom took my baby pics in a dress similar to this one. but purple. I looked almost exactly like Hailee with my chubs and oversized outfit. She is still so cute and did I mention we love this dress!!!!

On to the rest of our Sunday.

After church we went with my mom and Jack to Yellowstone. It was fun to relax in the car and enjoy the outdoors without fighting the mosquitoes. We had a picnic lunch and then up to Canyon.

It was really hot and silly me I didn't even have any sunscreen for Hailee. We kept her out of the sun and she did great.

We saw a starving cow elk, a pretty well-fed elk, a few buffalos, and a bald eagle. However, amist all the beauty Hailee was more interested in her shaking lion. She was such a good little traveler. She laughed and played with her daddy almost the whole way.

He's ready to be a DADDY!!!

My little bro A.J. has this great friend, Nick. Well since A.J. has been out working hard Nick has done his best to keep the family entertained at times. He's sort of the substitute A.J. who is only paid a couple times a month to come to work.

One day while on the job he came out to visit Curt and I at his ussual late-at-night-time. He was just like his old self and reminded us of the times when he and A.J. would come out so late. Nick was certain that he was ready to be a dad. I don't know if he really is, but he did a great job with Hailee.

You are a pro Nick. Come out any time!!!!!
